Each year more than 1.5 Mio of tourists from the North Europa visit the Island of Tenerife - a part of the Canaries. At the same time, a large number of refugees from Marocco and from Ghana, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Mali tries to get over the 140 kilometers from the Atlantic coast of Marroco to the island. Many refugees drown during this attempt to reach European territory.
The invasion of tourists to the Island of Tenerife and the South-to-North-migration are happening at the same time. But the often tragic fate of the refugees remains almost invisible whereas the Northern invaders also visually penetrate the island.

Jedes Jahr besuchen 1.5 Mio Touristen aus dem Norden das zu den Kanarischen Inseln zählende Tenerife. Gleichzeitig versucht eine wachsende Zahl von Flüchtlingen aus Marokko und Ghana, dem Senegal, Sierra Leone und Mali, die 140 Kilometer von der marokkanischen Küste bis zur Insel zurückzulegen. Viele Flüchtlinge ertrinken während dieses Versuchs, europäisches Gebiet zu erreichen. Die Invasion der Touristen und diese Form der Migration von Süden nach Norden geschehen gleichzeitig. Aber das tragische Schicksal der Flüchtlinge bleibt fast unsichtbar, während die "Eindringlinge" aus dem Norden die Insel sichtbar erobern.
